It's About Time I Opened My Big Fat Mouth

We've been using this site pretty much as a 'place-holder' for the last few years - somewhere to park our domain name... and not much more.

I was toying with the idea of letting this domain name go, as we've never really done any sort of 'music business' through a website - we're not that kinda outfit. But, last week, I checked out a few websites belonging to musicians/bands/outfits that I respect, just to see what they use their 'internet property' for... and it turned out to be pretty interesting.

You see - I was under the impression that 'blogging', or any other form of rambling online... was pretty much dead in the water.

Turns out I was wrong.

A lot of musicians and artists I look up to are using their sites as a platform to scream into the void... and I kinda like that.

Sure you can post to social media all day long, and converse with your followers, but you've got to put up with a lot of fucking twats on most (if not all) social platforms. At least with a blogging situation - you can drown out the pricks and rant and rave until your head caves in!

This, along with the fact we've just released our newest album, has pushed me into this corner - and I'm pretty happy about it (at the moment).

So, if you're interested, pop back here every now and again.

I'll try my best not to write anything after the bottle of whiskey is open - no promises though!

P.S. Here's the link to the new album - LIFELIKE FIGURES

Can You Show Me... Where To Land?

With Lifelike Figures - Our recent album release, I took on a new way of composing and producing each song included in the project.  I used to have a set way of doing this sort of thing - very linear, and I wouldn't often stray from this path of creativity.  Lifelike Figures was a complete whirlwind. Something I just let evolve by itself, song by song, idea by idea (good or bad). The first acoustic number I wrote for the album just landed in my lap - I wrote the music and the lyrics within about 30 minutes. There was no need to change any of the progressions, or any of the literature for the verses. It was a song that found me - I didn't find it.  It's called Land Below is the first image we've published in relation to the song, and I created this post today as I feel this image is my favorite piece of art linked to my music so far. Its innocence and 'Banksy' type of feel is perfect for the song it showcases... I've also put together a 9:16 video advert usi

My Relationship With Time Is Only Getting Stranger

It's been a strange week... A really strange week. I sometimes wonder if we have more control over the paths our lives take than we realize - We shape them without really trying, and this leads to us walking a dark path, more often than not.  One thing is certain though - the older we get, the stranger our relationships with time become.  Why am I worried about this? Well, I'm not... Really... But there is room for improvement inside my head.  I overanalyze most things these days, in an attempt to make up for lost time. I'm still trying to figure out if this is a good thing or not - I'm basically trying to erase the time I wasted when I was... Well... Wasted... But that's another story, for another day... The reason I wanted to write this post today, was to highlight the thoughts behind the song Aftermath , from our latest album.  The more I thought about this song and its origins - the more I realized that the song was born out of one of the most important moments,
